Cristina asks Meredith to assist her in crafting an acceptance speech for her potential Harper Avery award. Although Owen offers to accompany her to the ceremony, Cristina firmly decides to go solo. At the same time, Derek struggles to balance his duties both at home and in the hospital. April and Jackson clash over their views on parenting and faith, while Callie and Arizona work on rekindling their relationship.
