Waterloo Road is set to compete in the North West Schools Choir of the Year final, but trouble arises when it's revealed that Flick plagiarized the song lyrics. In an effort to protect the school's reputation, Rachel decides to withdraw the choir from the competition. Heartbroken, Matt is devastated at the thought of their hard work going to waste. Determined to salvage the situation, he and Steph race against the clock to create a new song. Meanwhile, a smitten Eddie is taken aback when Melissa surprises him with a visit, only to drop the bombshell that she’s expecting a baby.
