Grantly returns to school just days after his wife's passing, receiving support from Harley and growing closer to Maggie. During the school fun run, star athlete Mercedes Garvey twists her ankle, and when Jez drives her home, she misinterprets the situation and makes an advance toward him. After he turns her down, she falsely accuses him of making a move on her, prompting Tom to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Mercedes' brother Eugene is affiliated with the Murray Set Boyz, leading DSC members Kyle and Tariq to seek confrontation with him. In a surprising turn, Craig proposes to Janeece while Trudi decides to end things with Finn.
