Episode Overview

While at a convenience store with his girlfriend Kate (guest star Samantha Smith), Agent John Grant steps in to stop a robbery. However, when Kate gets injured and clings to life, Rachel and Bailey worry that John might take matters into his own hands. The situation escalates when John's shooting of a suspect is scrutinized, leading him to angrily resign. He struggles with intense feelings of guilt over Kate's serious injuries and the gravity of the situation he finds himself in.
