Carlisle is skeptical of Danny's admission regarding the murder, believing he’s merely shielding his father, Ripley. Natalie confronts Carlisle, warning him to keep his distance from her and her family. Devastated, Carlisle becomes increasingly determined to bring Ripley down, seeing him as a rival for Natalie’s affections. Meanwhile, Ripley visits Steve in the hospital, offering him a hefty sum to stay away from Shyanne. Steve accepts the cash but decides to push Ripley’s limits by spending it on Shyanne instead. As Ripley’s arcade business faces mounting challenges, he finds himself compelled to take urgent action when Danny, overwhelmed by recent events, attempts suicide on a train track, echoing Ripley’s own troubled past. Danny confesses to moving the murder victim from Ripley’s flats to the casino, prompting Ripley to confront Carlisle, claiming he was the one who relocated the body.
