Episode Overview
Billy Kronk, an ambitious young surgeon and avid hockey player, rushes into the E.R. with a seriously injured teammate and quickly takes control, overpowering Phillip in the process. Meanwhile, Alan manages to sidestep a lawsuit from Nabbott, but not without feeling irritated by Harold's "toad" antics in court, which lands him in jail for contempt. In a different scenario, Billy persuades a deranged mugger, known for his pica and who has bitten off a concert flautist's finger during a robbery, to undergo an endoscopy to retrieve the missing digit. As Geri successfully reattaches the finger, Billy and Phillip discover a second finger in the mugger's digestive system, realizing that the musician received a digit from yet another of his victims.
