Episode Overview

In the emergency room, a gun falls from the holster of a critically injured police officer, leading to chaos. The frantic brother of a man in need of a heart transplant grabs the weapon and holds the staff at gunpoint, demanding an immediate operation for his sibling. Meanwhile, as Aaron and Danny work to save the officer, one of the bullets that struck him unexpectedly detonates, resulting in the loss of two of Danny's fingers. Geri skillfully reattaches them, but Danny's future as a surgeon hangs in the balance.
