Grad attempts to convince a reluctant Kronk to carry out a double mastectomy on a healthy woman who, while lacking cancer, carries the gene linked to the disease and has a family history of it. Meanwhile, Austin faces challenges in persuading a hesitant Sara to enroll in a prestigious all-girls school. After his accident, Nyland is back at work and immerses himself in the investigation of a young woman who has been brutally attacked and is currently in a coma.
