Episode Overview

Maggie stumbles upon a letter she penned to herself during her teenage years, prompting her to reflect on how her life measures up to the dreams she had at fifteen. Meanwhile, Shelly dismisses a chain letter, only to have misfortune strike the Vincoeur home soon after. A new barber moves to Cicely, and Chris attempts to befriend him, but the barber, wary of Chris's past as an ex-con, keeps his distance. Additionally, Joel discovers a lump on his head and travels to Anchorage for a check-up, where he learns it could be malignant, leading him to embrace life more fully.
