Episode Overview

The team discovers a baby abandoned in a barn, tragically orphaned after the mother was killed. Saunders initially refuses to allow them to take the baby with them, causing discontent among the men. Eventually, he relents and sends Littlejohn and Doc back to retrieve the infant. Learning that the convent has been destroyed and time is of the essence, Caje disguises himself as a civilian and heads to a bombed farmhouse to rescue the baby and get it across the river. Meanwhile, the rest of the squad makes their way downstream to cross the river just as the artillery fire begins.
