Before Ollie Joe's lieutenant passes away, he is unable to warn Saunders about Ollie. Sensing that something is off with Ollie, Saunders becomes suspicious when Ollie threatens Sarge with his weapon and mistakenly refers to him as lieutenant. Connecting the dots, Saunders uncovers the truth about Ollie's condition. As Ollie fades away, Saunders reassures him, calling him "GI perfect" in his final moments.
