Ben Byron meets his fate while attempting to rescue his beloved dog, Shovel, from drowning. Chaos ensues when Shovel's ghost zaps Pete, leading to a bizarre predicament. From that moment on, Pete is unable to complete a sentence without the phrase "without my pants," creating a series of comedic mishaps and misunderstandings. His newfound quirk leads to awkward situations, leaving him in a constant state of embarrassment and confusion.
