S05E06 Wind-Up Panda
Episode Overview
Graham has cherished a beautiful mid-century coffee table for 60 years, a treasured piece that once graced his parents' living room. To restore this unique wooden treasure, wood expert Will puts his skills to work. Meanwhile, clockmaker Steven Fletcher teams up with toy restorers Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell when they receive a 1960s wind-up panda. This nostalgic toy holds deep significance for owner Gill, as it was her first gift from her late father, who passed away just before her sixth birthday. After providing comfort for five decades, the panda is in need of some TLC. In another corner of the barn, metalworker Dominic Chinea takes on an unusual coconut scraper, crafted by Dudley's father, who emigrated from India in 1958. Dudley and his siblings fondly recall helping their mother prepare a traditional Goan treat called Kulkuls.
