Episode Overview
Jay Blades and his crew work to restore three beloved family heirlooms, each filled with cherished memories. Toy restorers Julie and Amanda welcome a stuffed monkey named Midge, a Christmas gift to owner Charles back in the 1960s. However, when he turned 14, his father, a market trader, put Midge to work at his stall in Barnsley Market. Metal expert Dominic Chinea takes on the challenge of reviving a heavy-duty metal vice, a tool that has inspired generations in owner Daniel's Derbyshire family to create and repair. Meanwhile, wood craftsman Will Kirk faces a challenge with a Scandinavian folk figurine that a playful puppy has damaged. Owner Paula holds the piece dear as it reminds her of her grandfather, who received recognition from the King of Sweden for his contributions to the wood pulp industry.
