DS Devlin and DS Brooks delve into the tragic murder of 13-year-old Sean Monroe, the son of a police officer, whose body is discovered in a storm drain. A note found alongside him suggests the involvement of Andrew Dillon, a man already imprisoned for a previous racially motivated crime. Their fears are realized when another boy, Dev Desai, is found strangled, also with a note connected to Dillon. As they dig deeper, they encounter Marcus Wright, a security guard who claims he had interactions with both boys and insists their deaths were part of divine will. This revelation casts doubt on Dillon's conviction. The case intensifies when James Steel faces allegations of intentionally hiding a witness statement that could have cleared Dillon, leading him to represent himself in court.
