Desperate to find her estranged father before it's too late, Sam secretly recruits Lauren and Finn for a journey to Blackpool in the ongoing school drama. However, when she needs support the most, will Sam face disappointment? In light of recent negative press, Karen is eager to reshape Waterloo Road's reputation and hires PR expert Linda Wickes to help. But will Karen even recognize her school after Linda’s transformation? Things take a turn when Richard Whitman, the Director of Education, shows up unexpectedly, openly criticizing both the PR effort and Karen's leadership. Meanwhile, Aiden and Vicki are feeling isolated, and Ronan and Jess are unwilling to extend forgiveness. The tension culminates in a fight between Aiden and Ronan, further straining their already troubled father-son relationship.
