Episode Overview

Teaser: Michelle is having fun playing the drums. In the main storyline, 14-year-old D.J. is eager to buy a pricey pair of shoes, but after Danny refuses to give her the money, she asks if she can get a job instead. Danny reluctantly agrees and sets her up with a photographer named Jack, whose task is to get shy kids to smile for the camera. However, Danny imposes a rule: D.J. must maintain her grades. Despite struggling with science, D.J. believes the job will help her earn the money and show Danny she's grown up. Things take a turn when she brings home an "F" in science, and when she explains her intentions, Danny reassures her that it's okay to be a kid.
