Episode Overview

Cole is on the trail of an alien named Kres, who works as a smuggler. After being caught by U.S. government agents, Kres is taken into their custody. Cole manages to slip away and uses satellite images to pinpoint the military base where Kres is held. Once inside, he uncovers that Kres is being tortured by Dr. Connelly, who is aware of Kres's alien identity. The government is fully aware of the energy surge that brought the escaped prisoners to Earth and knows about Kres’s abandonment of his human family after losing control. As a Nodulian, Kres is vulnerable to heat. Shortly after, Cole is captured and subjected to the same torturous methods, which inadvertently revitalizes him. Connelly soon catches on and cools him down. Cole escapes into hypertime but is recaptured when Connelly lowers the air temperature, deploying a fire extinguisher. Meanwhile, Kres breaks free and, using an experimental hypertime simulator
