A group of nomads, led by the formidable Maria (Jeanne Arnold), coerces the Monkees into pilfering a valuable figurine known as the "Maltese Vulture." The Monkees find themselves entangled in a web of intrigue as they navigate the demands of the gypsies while attempting to maintain their own integrity.
