In New York, Nucky grows increasingly frustrated with Gaston Means, a so-called "special investigator" linked to Attorney General Harry Daugherty, as their business dealings become more contentious. Meanwhile, at St. Theresa’s, Margaret grapples with the pushback she receives from a patient and a well-meaning doctor despite her efforts to help. Gyp decides to prolong his stay in Tabor Heights, eyeing it as a potential stronghold between Atlantic City and New York. Chalky and his daughter Maybelle (Christina Jackson) clash over her relationship with Samuel (Ty Michael Robinson); Eli faces challenges with a new superior and shifts at home; and a significant liquor shipment takes an unforeseen turn.
