In a surprising turn of events, Eric offers shelter to Mary’s former boyfriend, Robbie Palmer (Adam LaVorgna), despite the family's concerns and his own reservations, after discovering he’s without a home. Adding to the chaos, Matt arrives unannounced after being evicted by John, who is eager to spend time with his girlfriend. Meanwhile, when Mary calls home and hears Robbie's voice, she mistakenly believes he is now in a relationship with Lucy. To cap off the evening, John surprises everyone by proposing to his girlfriend Priscilla in front of Matt.
