Episode Overview

Kevin inadvertently misleads Venus (guest-star Martha Plimpton) into thinking Martin is a rookie cop, sparking her interest in him. Encouraged by his friend Mac (guest-star Kyle Searles), Martin struggles to come clean, especially after discovering that Venus's father is deployed overseas. Meanwhile, Eric and Annie grow concerned that Martin is getting too involved with Venus, prompting them to ask Kevin for help, which results in gossip at the precinct about Kevin cheating on Lucy. Mac also fuels rumors about Martin at school. Meanwhile, Ben (guest-star Geoff Stults) continues to secretly date Lucy's new pediatrician despite their weekend together.
