A woman, convinced that her late father was a heroic sea captain, finds herself drawn to a mischievous old purser. Meanwhile, a newlywed couple struggles to enjoy their honeymoon due to dislocated backs, severe sunburn, and even a case of poison ivy. In a twist, the crew decides to upgrade a financially modest couple to a lavish suite without informing Captain Stubing, leaving the couple to pretend they are affluent socialites.
