Jenkins makes the call to release Ash, allowing him to leave. However, when Ash learns of Griffin's passing, he attempts to confront Golzine alone. Eiji, feeling responsible for Griffin’s fate, refuses to let Ash go by himself and adamantly trails behind him, determined to share in the burden of the journey.
