Episode Overview

The Japan Liberation Front seizes a hotel, taking its guests hostage, including many from the Ashford Student Council and a disguised Princess Euphemia. This situation prevents Princess Cornelia from intervening, a fact that Lelouch quickly exploits. Teaming up with Ohgi's resistance, he leverages his insight into Euphemia's character to slip past Cornelia's defenses. While Lelouch negotiates with the hostage takers, Suzaku attacks the floating hotel using the Lancelot. With explosives planted by the resistance, Lelouch sabotages the army’s rescue attempts to claim the glory for himself. He then broadcasts a message to the nation, announcing the formation of his Order of the Black Knights, a group dedicated to justice and protecting the powerless from the powerful.
