However, around 1200 BCE, these societies faced a catastrophic decline, leading to the collapse of the Bronze Age. What caused this downfall? Evidence from the region suggests that relentless waves of sea invaders, referred to as the Sea Peoples, attacked just as the Bronze Age was unraveling.
