Episode Overview

In Part 4, Nandi's father insists that the Zulu tribe acknowledge Nandi and her son, Shaka. Senzangakona, the newly crowned king of the Zulu, marries Nandi but subjects her to ongoing mistreatment. Eventually, Shaka reaches his breaking point and confronts his father, threatening his life. In a desperate bid for freedom, Nandi and Shaka escape back to her people, only to face disdain and rejection. Realizing they are not safe, they decide to flee once more, seeking a place where they can find acceptance and safety.
