Pingu (1986)

Episode Overview

Pingu encounters a busker playing a barrel organ and feels a wave of sadness over the musician's poverty. His mood worsens when he sees arrogant penguins ignoring the busker, with one male penguin simply strutting by and a female penguin pushing Pingu aside when he tries to stop her. Desperate, Pingu asks another male penguin for money but receives a fish instead. He gifts the fish to the busker and experiments with the organ. When he asks another passerby for cash, the penguin just walks away, prompting Pingu to angrily turn the handle of the organ. This causes the distracted penguin to tumble into a fishing hole. Following him home, Pingu finds a dilapidated place and feels sympathy for the busker. He borrows the organ and plays around town, delighting local shopkeepers who reward him with free supplies.
