Pingu (1986)

Episode Overview

Pingu’s family is taking care of an egg, and while his parents tackle the laundry, Pingu is tasked with keeping it warm. Initially, he feels proud and excited, but soon boredom sets in. He gets up to listen to some music titled "Woodpeckers From Space" and starts dancing around. Suddenly, the egg develops a leg and begins to dance around the igloo. Realizing the chaos, Pingu tries to catch the egg before his parents notice, causing a mess in the process. When his parents see the ruckus, they rush in to help. Father manages to catch the egg, while Mother turns off the music. She discovers Pingu hiding in a cupboard, worried about their reaction. To his relief, they’re not angry; instead, Mother gives him a warm hug. They all pitch in to tidy up the igloo, and Father rewards Pingu with a handmade hat for his efforts in caring for the egg.
