Pingu (1986)

Episode Overview

While out sledding, Pingu stumbles upon an ice pool and discovers a flute resting next to it. He excitedly tries it out, producing a rather unpleasant squeak. Eager to share his find, he rushes home to show Mother and Pinga, but they hardly pay attention. When he blows the flute near Pinga’s ear, she bolts in fright. Mother then sends him outside. Pingu wanders through the village, creating screeching sounds that prompt doors to slam shut. He interrupts two chatting penguins, who tell him to be quiet and leave. He then startles a penguin fixing his igloo roof, who also tells him to stop. Pingo, wearing headphones while enjoying his record player, slams his door on Pingu when the noise disturbs him. Pingu encounters some hikers and asks for directions, but they ignore him until he plays the flute again, startling them into giving him the information. Feeling downhearted, he arrives back at
