Pingu (1986)

Episode Overview

While out shopping, Mother and Father stroll past a hat shop where Father offers to buy Mother a new hat. She tries on a floral one and another adorned with a feather, all the while Pingu and Pinga are having their own fun by trying on hats too. Unable to choose, Mother is pushed to pick the feathered hat when the shopkeeper sells the floral one to someone else. Once they return home, both parents quickly fall asleep from exhaustion. Pingu sneaks in, dons the hat, and transforms into a musketeer with a blanket as a cape and a wooden sword. After a playful chase with Pinga over the hat, they end up with pieces of it. They manage to repair it and sneak it back into its box just in time. When Mother opens the box later, she’s surprised to find the hat decorated with even more feathers and flowers. Though initially worried, Pingu and Pinga are thrilled when Mother declares she likes the new look. With that, Mother
