As graduation nears, Flex's ex-wife Nicole (Tichina Arnold) persuades him to interfere in Breanna's romantic decisions, aiming for her to select a college in California instead of remaining in Baltimore with Arnaz. Meanwhile, Arnaz encourages Breanna to pursue her aspirations in California, but she misinterprets his advice as a sign that he wants to end their relationship.
