Overview

Set in 1958 Manhattan, Miriam “Midge” Maisel appears to lead a charmed life with a loving husband, children, and a stylish Upper West Side residence. However, her world is upended when her marriage falters, prompting a fresh start. In this new chapter, Midge uncovers a hidden gift for stand-up comedy. Her journey through the vibrant Greenwich Village scene eventually lands her a coveted spot on Johnny Carson's couch, showcasing her remarkable wit and resilience as she navigates the male-dominated world of comedy.
