Episode Overview

Mike and Gloria find themselves in a heated debate about who will look after Joey if they can’t, especially before he turns 18. Mike is firmly against the idea of Archie and Edith having custody, fearing the negative influence he believes Archie would have on their son. Gloria struggles to sway Mike's opinion and ultimately concedes to his arguments. Their concerns come to a head when Archie and Edith return from a day at the park, and Joey is holding a toy machine gun that Grandpa bought him. Furious at the thought of any weaponry, Mike chastises Archie, insisting that such toys can shape a child's behavior. The argument escalates when Mike snatches the plastic gun from Archie and snaps it in half. In the heat of their dispute, Mike reveals he might add a clause to their will regarding custody.
