Thanks to Yana, Jonah's mother, Cal encounters the People of the Cold and learns crucial details about the Renewers. Now convinced they are real, he resolves to champion their cause. Meanwhile, Palidor hosts a lavish party that Margo and Kurt decide to crash, believing the feast should benefit those in need. In a twist of fate, Cal's outdoor suit gets stolen, leaving him vulnerable in the frigid landscape. Fortunately, Nara discovers him suffering from early hypothermia and takes him to her shelter.
