The legal team at Seoryun Medical Center intervenes, halting the police's questioning of Joong Yeop, allowing him to walk free. After sharing drinks with the investigative team, Jae Hwan confides in Eugene about the loss of his father. Meanwhile, back at home, Joong Yeop reflects on his childhood memories from the Macheon Police Department. Later, he attends one of Eugene's lectures and brings up old memories from their shared past.
