Episode Overview
As Chase, Cole, and Sheriff Robbins assist firefighters in dousing the flames of Julia's wrecked car, they hear a faint cry for help. Chase discovers Julia, ejected from the vehicle and hidden in the brush, who reveals that her brakes failed. Paramedics arrive and transport her on a stretcher. Chase informs Sheriff Robbins that he suspects foul play, recalling the threatening note Julia received. Cole reminds Chase of their meeting with Melissa at the Agretti vineyard. Chase instructs Cole to fetch Melissa while he heads to the hospital. At the vineyard's tool shed, Cole finds Melissa anxiously waiting for Fong; he informs her of Julia’s accident, but she insists the brakes were fine when she borrowed the car. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Angie, Lance, and Chase anxiously await news, joined shortly by Vicky and Maggie. Elsewhere, Richard speaks to Phillip in his San Francisco office.
