Michael Ranson confronts his haunting past as he prepares to operate on Sheriff Robbins to save him. Overwhelmed in the surgical room, Michael falters and later reveals to Terry the deep-seated guilt that has plagued him since the tragic death of his wife during an operation he attempted. As Michael shares the harrowing details of her accident, Terry is also busy spying on Maggie for Angela while secretly planning to propose to Michael. Meanwhile, Richard Channing faces danger from a cartel gangster, and Angela strategizes to undermine Chase with the assistance of Calvin Kleeger, the Falcon Crest wine distributor, who threatens to cut ties unless Chase offers the winery as collateral.
