Maggie and Richard decide to give their relationship another shot, while Angela surprisingly steps up to offer her support. Upon Lance's return to the manor, Angela excitedly shares that Carly will be visiting for a few days. In a misguided effort to aid Emma, Curtis starts digging into Richard's past. Encouraged by Lance, Melissa embarks on an elaborate masquerade to help Emma. Meanwhile, Richard seeks out some risky help to challenge the codicil in Chase's will. When Gabrielle returns to the valley on the anniversary of Chase’s death, she brings Maggie some uplifting news.
