Episode Overview
Just as Justin prepares to head to Chicago to see Tonya, she suffers a relapse related to her kidney issues. Cara quickly takes her from work to the emergency room, where Tonya confides in her about the pain and reveals that this was the very reason she left earlier. After receiving treatment, Tonya decides to stay home for the remainder of the week, which coincides with Justin's visit. Theo believes Tonya's illness is genuine but suspects her absence from work is more about her relationship with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Kyle is organizing a trip to his father's lakeside cabin, and it seems like couples are forming—Tonya and Justin, Chris and Kurt, and Keri and Kyle. Concerned about the optics, Kyle pleads with Theo and Aneesa to join him and Keri early to avoid the appearance of a romantic getaway.
