Episode Overview
As Mother's Day approaches, Elka feels a deep longing for her mom and shares her feelings with Genesis, recalling the last night they spent together. She grapples with the responsibility of stepping into her mother's shoes while also preparing to return to Brownsville for a style show honoring her mom. Montana reassures her that she doesn't have to go if it's too painful, but Elka insists that she must face it eventually, no matter the hurt. Upon arriving in Brownsville, she participates in the show and accepts an award on behalf of her family. Her dad reassures her that he will take care of things at home. After visiting her mom’s grave, Elka heads back to Boston. Meanwhile, Genesis opens up to her mother about their troubled history and difficult childhood. During a second conversation, her mom reveals she hasn't eaten in a week. Although Genesis suspects her mother may be drinking again, her mom denies it, and Genesis chooses to believe her.
