Episode Overview

During a meeting, Ruthie confesses to her roommates that she has allowed alcohol to dominate her life while in Hawaii. While she doesn't commit to quitting drinking entirely, she vows to initiate positive changes. After realizing that Matt informed Ruthie about their planned intervention, Colin angrily confronts him outside. Later that evening, the group agrees that Ruthie urgently needs medical help for her drinking issues. “This can’t go on,” Colin insists, and they settle on a firm ultimatum: she must either enter a treatment facility or leave. Struggling with the weight of the situation, Matt breaks down in tears. When the roommates convey their ultimatum to Ruthie, she is shocked. The next day, Ruthie argues that their decision is too harsh and suggests a compromise: she will stop drinking for the remainder of her time there and is open to visiting a clinic, “but not for 30 days.” When the roommates refuse to budge, tensions rise.
