Episode Overview
In this episode focused on Teck, we discover that he embodies the spirit of John Wayne—charming with the ladies but not particularly fond of gay men. He takes pride in being black, spontaneous, and playful around women. The roommates receive a call from their new boss, Calvin, who runs Local Motion, a surf shop and café. They realize they’re late for their first meeting, where they find out their roles involve booking talent and working in the café. Calvin surprises them with a vehicle, and they celebrate with a song. Ruthie secures a band she knows called 3-2-1, and the group heads to the college to promote the show, needing at least 100 attendees for their bonus. The performance turns out to be a success, netting them the bonus they aimed for, but now they must replicate that success next week.
