When Julie introduces her new friend Jacob to the group, Matt makes an unkind remark, leaving Julie frustrated. Despite her objections, David plans a hot tub party exclusively for female strippers. In response, Julie writes Matt a detailed letter expressing her feelings about their strained friendship. Although Matt shows a sincere desire to support David during a crucial recording studio session, David ultimately heads out without him. Tired of David's disrespectful behavior, the roommates come together for a house meeting to address their concerns about him.
