In the Upworld, Val steps in to find support for Jay's physiotherapy when his paternal grandmother is unable to assist. She enlists the help of Donna and Keith for Jay’s recovery. Simultaneously, in the Downworld, Jay, Alpha, and Flash discover the first of three checkpoints, but they must overcome various challenges to proceed.
