Episode Overview
The Colonel and the Captain contemplate their predicament and conclude that turning over René and the painting to the Gestapo might be the best way to eliminate Herr Flick. However, René persuades them to instead provide a forged version of the painting, with help from a conveniently nearby forger. He also convinces them to lend their uniforms to the escaping British airmen, enabling them to transport the painting to England for the forgery. Meanwhile, various characters keep offering René poison pills "to make things easier." Herr Flick insists on a private dinner with Helga in René's back room, while Hans discovers that putting cheese in his ears enhances the sound of Madame Edith's singing.
