René has once more acquired the sausage hiding the painting of the Fallen Madonna, shifting the focus to how to safely extract the two British airmen from France. Michelle devises a ridiculous plan involving a steam engine tour through Nouvion, which entails gathering eighty meters of braces. It falls to René to source these from every man in Nouvion. Meanwhile, Herr Flick and Helga make their entrance in a staff car, intent on keeping a close watch on the unfolding events.
