Yutaro suffers a grave injury from Raijuta's sword, leaving him unable to wield a sword with that arm ever again. Despite their earlier disagreements, Yahiko recognizes the significance of swordsmanship to Yutaro. He takes Yutaro's hand and guides him out of the medical room to witness the climactic showdown between Kenshin and Raijuta. As night falls over the forest path, the intense duel between Kenshin and Raijuta commences.
