After Shirley misplaces Laverne's cherished purse, she feels too guilty to confess since she borrowed it without permission. When Laverne inquires about its whereabouts, Shirley deceitfully claims she has no idea. That night, Shirley drifts off to sleep and dreams of a terrifying scenario where Laverne is out to get her, having discovered that Shirley lost the purse and lied about it.
