Kara settles into her new life in Smallville by landing a position at the Talon, and despite Clark's protests, she decides to participate in the Miss Sweet Corn Pageant. Meanwhile, Lex becomes intrigued by her, and three other pageant contestants uncover her superhuman abilities. They plot to exploit Kara's powers to help them steal a precious time capsule.
